I think Facebook will end up following Google's model. Putting a lot of support behind "paid for" advertising and letting the organic, or SEO side sort of just run its course. Facebook is and will continue to be used for most of the lifestyle conversations and research that take place online but as far as SEO goes, I don't think Google need to worry just yet.
